We are thrilled to share some wonderful news with our valued customers and supporters. exci, a pioneering brand that emerged four years ago in the heart of Peregian Beach on the Sunshine Coast, has been granted a prestigious license by the Australian Made Campaign. This partnership not only represents a significant achievement for exci but also reflects our resilient beginnings and unwavering commitment to delivering an exceptional bushfire detection service to the Australian market.
Born from Adversity
exci was conceived amidst a time of great adversity for Peregian Beach at the Sunshine Coast in Australia. On September 9th, 2019, the Peregian Beach community faced the threat of devastating bushfires that ignited at Peregian Springs and rapidly approached the beloved beachside town. In the face of this crisis, the entire community rallied together, leaving behind possessions and fleeing with only what they could fit in their cars. It was during this challenging time that exci, previously known as Fireball.International, took root at the Digital Hub in Peregian Beach.
A Mission to Prevent Disaster
From the outset, exci’s mission was clear: to develop an early bushfire detection system that would help prevent such a catastrophic event from happening again. We assembled a team of dedicated data scientists, software engineers, and machine learning experts who shared a vision to protect communities and mitigate the devastating impact of bushfires. Our commitment to innovation and excellence fueled our drive to create groundbreaking solutions.
Partnering with the Australian Made Campaign
Today, we are proud to announce our partnership with the Australian Made Campaign. This collaboration is a testament to our journey, from our humble beginnings to becoming a trusted brand synonymous with quality and resilience. By joining forces with the Australian Made Campaign, we align ourselves with their mission to promote Australian-made products and support local industries.
The Significance of the Australian Made Logo
The Australian Made logo represents more than just a mark of authenticity; it symbolises the values and high standards that define our service. Being granted the license to display this esteemed logo signifies that exci’s early bushfire detection service is not only proudly Australian-made by a highly qualified Australian team but also crafted with a commitment to excellence.
Check out the following video showcasing the groundbreaking first demonstration of Early Bushfire Detection in the Noosa Shire. In collaboration with QFES, Helitak, and McDermott Helicopter, exci showcased their innovative technology to key stakeholders from around the world.
During the event, John McDermott, the director and Chief Pilot of McDermott Aviation, delivered an impactful speech highlighting the significance of early detection methods showcased by the Fireball (now exci) technology. As a helicopter pilot and operator, McDermott expressed his excitement about the innovative capabilities. He emphasized the importance of preserving Australian ownership and control over this technology for the benefit of Australia. McDermott also revealed an intriguing fact: the renowned cockpit voice recorder, commonly known as the Black Box, was actually invented in Australia. Regrettably, due to a lack of investment from government agencies, the technology was eventually developed overseas.
Moreover, it’s worth noting that a significant portion of the Noosa Local Government Area (LGA) is already covered by exci’s cutting-edge system, providing essential protection for their valued customers’ assets.”
A Bright Future Ahead
As we embark on this new chapter with the Australian Made Campaign, exci is excited about the opportunities it brings. This partnership provides us with a platform to amplify our message and showcase our dedication to delivering superior service to our customers. We will continue to push the boundaries of innovation, further develop our bushfire detection system, and expand our range of offerings.
Conclusion
exci’s journey, from its humble beginnings in the face of adversity to its partnership with the Australian Made Campaign, is a testament to the resilience and commitment of our team. We are proud to carry the Australian Made logo, reflecting our dedication to quality, innovation, and the growth of local industries. As we look ahead, we remain steadfast in our mission to improve the resilience of our communities, protect our customer’s assets and make a positive impact through our cutting-edge solutions.
